Another terriffic wine is the 2015 Terrasses Du Larzac Le Palas, which is the more Syrah dominated cuvee. It offers lots of black raspberries, toasted spices, licorice and hints of graphite in a ripe, balanced and textured style.
Our vines grow on the cusp of two distinct climatic zones : the Hérault with its dominant sun, and the Aveyron which pours its cool air into our valley. This micro-climate is one of the reasons for this wine’s complexity and freshness.
« The sensational 2015 Terrasses du Larzac l’Humeur Vagabonde checks in as a mix of very old vine Carignan, Syrah and Grenache. Garrigue, saddle leather, peppery herbs and ample dark fruit flow to a medium-bodied, pure, elegant red that’s already hard to resist. »
Truly seductive, its open, smooth, brilliantly fresh and ends delightfully long. It’s truly mouthwatering, delicate, with fine tannins, the aromatic pallette enhances the pleasure with cherries, plums, tobacco and dried flowers. A wine of great finesse !
“The entry-level cuvee is well worth checking out. Made from Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah, the 2015 Terrasses Du Larzac Saint-Jean is a charming, fresh and forward effort that has good purity of fruit, plenty of southern France character and a good finish. It’s a steal at the price.”
« The 2015 Languedoc le Saut du Poisson Blanc is a beautiful white from this estate that’s based on Grenache Blanc, Vermentino and Carignan Blanc. It offers deliciously exotic notes of white peach, orange blossom, mint and hints of flowers. It will be versatile on the dinner table and drink nicely for a handful of years. »
